Bachmann, brought to you by the letter ‘T’

This woman is an elected representative in the U.S. House:

I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.

Seriously? Over a damned energy tax? You’re pulling out Thomas Jefferson over an energy tax? Seems like there should be some sort of sanity standard for people whose decisions will have an impact on the lives of citizens. I mean, Glenn Beck can be a raving loon all he wants, because he’s just a TV/Radio douchebag. But Bachmann gets free postage, ferchrissake!

About The Author

The Arguing One
Many moons ago in the blogosphere there was a minor writer with the moniker “Bryan S.” who flew the flag of “Arguing with Signposts.” His politics were vaguely conservative, warblogger, humorist, cynic, libertarian. In short, he screwed all that up. So, you might say this is my attempt to set that stuff straight. The flag is flying again. But we’ve set a course that’s at odds with the haze of the last eight years. Onward!
