You have got to be kidding me

Mental Health Break

It’s been a long few weeks in the health care battle, and realizing this is only a preview of what’s to come with financial reform, immigration reform, LBGTQ rights, etc. So to take a break, I must mention this post by John Cole at Balloon Juice about the fiasco. Watch the video. And while you’re at [...]

Hey, Ben, here’s a big cup of STFU

Image via Wikipedia Ben Bernanke drops in on the op-ed page of the Washington Post to share his concern: The government’s actions to avoid financial collapse last fall — as distasteful and unfair as some undoubtedly were — were unfortunately necessary to prevent a global economic catastrophe that could have rivaled the Great Depression in length and severity, with profound [...]

Hitler learns of Sarah Palin’s resignation

So quick, and yet so funny (via Daily Kos)

Andrew Sullivan is an idiot

Period. DougJ at Balloon Juice is much more kind than I am. Today, Sullivan posts this: The new cultural divide will not be on guns, gays and God. Visit for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy I wish the American media would take a great look at the sanity of the people in Congress. Oh, teh stupid. It burns!

ZOMG, teh stupid on the Road to Recovery

So many have already scrutinized and slapped down the GOP’s “Republican Road to Recovery” “budget,” that I can’t really think of anything funny to say about this: GOP Road to Recovery – Free Legal Forms Just check out this FARK thread. Here’s Sadly, No! And John Cole. The front pagers at the Great Orange Satan have been having a [...]

Michael Wolff is a total bore

Again with this crap. The guy just doesn’t know what to say. He can’t connect. Emotions are here, he’s over there. He can’t get the words to match the situation. This began, I’d argue, from the first moment. He punted on the inaugural. Everybody ran around like crazy trying to praise it because if Barack Obama couldn’t [...]

Bachmann, brought to you by the letter ‘T’

This woman is an elected representative in the U.S. House: I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going [...]

This is not my beautiful house!

Many moons ago in the blogosphere there was a minor writer with the moniker “Bryan S.” who flew the flag of “Arguing with Signposts.” His politics were vaguely conservative, warblogger, humorist, cynic, libertarian. In short, he screwed all that up. So, you might say this is my attempt to set that stuff straight. The flag is flying again. But we’ve set a course that’s at odds with the haze of the last eight years. Onward!
